Available Positions:
We currently have a vacancy for a Property & Facilities Officer reporting to the Property & Facilities Manager. The role will be full time, and operate Monday – Friday, the successful applicant will be required to be on call on some weekends and during the absence of the Property & Facilities Manager.
The primary purpose of the role is to maintain the buildings and assets of the College and assist with maintaining the grounds including:
– General building repairs and maintenance
– Adhoc maintenance requests from staff and students
– Patching and painting
– Basic plumbing and carpentry
– Test and Tagging of College equipment
– Assist with operational functions of the College when needed
– Lawn maintenance and hedge trimming when needed.
Selection Criteria
Desirable Skills and experience.
- Demonstrated experience, across a broad range of maintenance tasks
- Trade qualifications in carpentry, plumbing, painting, lock replacement or plastering will be highly regarded.
- Demonstrate ability to follow direction and maintain high standards of work.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with young adults effectively and sensitively from varying backgrounds in a positive manner.
- First aid Certificate or willing to obtain one.
- Test and tag qualification or willing to obtain.
- Proven ability to maintain equipment in safe working order and the use of power equipment.
